Also more activities were done under Gender Responsive Public Service (GRPS). Existing youth platforms were mobilized into networks to claim public services. Young people organized themselves in networks and alliances with other actors in civil society at local, national, and global levels. A social media campaign was facilitated for claiming quality public services by gathering experiences from the local context. Young people practiced RTI (Right to Information) and sought information from service-providing institutions. Open budget sessions were organized at local government level. Existing youth platforms were further mobilized to claim public services, and Public Service Day was celebrated. Dialogue was conducted with key stakeholders from government, private sector, and other relevant institutions. Knowledge products such as printed materials and video documentaries were developed.

Every year International Public Service Day is celebrated on 23 June. Badhon’s youths also celebrated this day to increase the quality of public services provided by public service institutions. This year the day was celebrated through rally, discussion, and an award ceremony for the best quality public service provider and/or public service-providing agency. The award selection approach was done through situation analysis of local health clinics and social safety net services.

Public Service Day celebration and RTI workshop were organized along with youths. Awareness on the Right to Information (RTI) Act-2009 was increased and youths were influenced to practice applying RTI among different public institutions for delivering services in a more accountable and transparent way. Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) inaugurated the session. This is a continuing process. Youths applied 100 RTI applications this year to different public institutions and Union Parishads.
